Dr. Ramone is a board-certified HIV Specialist (American Academy of HIV Medicine) who has led BMS’s HIV and Hepatitis C programs since 2014. He trained at SUNY Downstate and Beth Israel Medical Center, and served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Attending Physician at the STAR Health Center and Kings County Hospital Center, and as HIV Clinical Science Manager at Abbott Laboratories. At BMS, he has served as Principal Investigator for the NYC Council Hepatitis C Navigation Grant and Clinical Lead for COVID-19 services. Under his clinical leadership, BMS’s HIV viral suppression rate has grown from 81% (2020) to 92% (2025) — with 94% suppression among female patients and 93% among patients age 50 and older.
